Cargill at ZDS Symposium Chocolate Technology 2008 (21/1/2009)
The ZDS symposium Chocolate Technology in Cologne, Germany, is Europe's largest and most influential symposium dedicated to the science and technology of chocolate. Held every two years, it is primarily aimed at technologists and scientists in the cocoa and chocolate industry. The symposium took place in December, and obviously we attended.
At the trade exhibition we presented a number of new product ideas:
- Chocolates from single origin cocoa and vanillin from Papua New Guinea and Madagascar
- Organic chocolates: dark and milk
- Calcium enriched chocolate filling and calcium enriched yoghurt filling
We were invited to share our expertise on:
- 'The new pesticide legislation in a broader perspective' presented by Marc Joncheere from our cocoa and chocolate business
- '4-tier lecithin grading system' given by Lorna Macfadyen from Cargill Texturizing Solutions
